Salesian Youth Spirituality Research Center, Seoul, Korea, 21 November 2022 -- On 5 November 2022 the province of Korea (KOR, provincial Fr. Timothy Choi) organized a well'prepared Symposium to mark the 400th anniversary of Saint Francis de Sales's death. The half day event involved the whole Salesian Family and was shared with the local Church in many ways. The 9th Symposium was held in the SDB Seoul provincial house (7th floor chapel), organized by the Don Bosco Youth Spirituality Research Center (Director Fr Moses Yoon) and involved 100 people in person as well as being available on the SDB Korea YouTube channel.

       The figure of Saint Francis de Sales (1567-1622) was presented with the background of our current 'Post-Covid Times' with a triple focus on the Pastoral, Educational and Spiritual impact of the Salesian Saint.

       Among the six speakers was the Auxiliary Bishop of Seoul, Job Koo Jobi (in charge of consecrated life), Fr Jeon Young-jun (Catholic University, Faculty of theology - Dean), Fr Moses Yoon-man-geon, SDB (Catholic University professor), Ms Kim Kyong-lee (Catholic University professor), Ms Lee Mee-yong (Director of Our Theology Research Center) and Prof. Celestino Yoon (Salesian Cooperator, former Provincial coordinator). A final round table with all speakers present was moderated by Fr Bosco Park, SDB.

       Besides highlighting the person, spirituality, pastoral charity and pedagogical contribution of the Savoyard Saint, the speakers focus on the present impact and resourcefulness of his spirituality for the lay people, for the education and for the spirituality in the Korean Catholic Church in our 'Post-Covid times'.
