       Formation communities, Vietnam, 22 November 2022 -- Fr Jose Kuttianimattathil, a member of the General Formation Team, made a visit to formation communities in the Salesian Province of Don Bosco Vietnam from November 11-17, 2022. Specifically, he visited Philip Rinaldi Xuan Hiep Theological Community, Artemides Zatti Tan Ha Community, Don Rua Da Lat Postnovitiate Community, The Sacred Heart Novitiate Community, and Dominic Savio Prenovitiate Community. Before returning Rome he also visited the Provincial Community and the Community of FMA Sisters in Tam Ha, Thu Duc, and Ho Chi Minh City.

       At each Formation Community, Father Jose Kuttianimattathil had two meetings: with the young confreres in initial formation and with their formators. Father Jose expressed satisfaction at seeing communities of formation integrated into communities with active apostolates.

       He said: “The visit is not to introduce new ideas about formation, but only in the name of the General Councillor for Formation and in the name of the Rector Major to thank the formation team information communities. However, formation is not entrusted to us by the Rector Major, but is the work of the Congregation. Formation is the business of everyone in the Congregation, and the Rector Major would like to thank the formation staff on behalf of our Congregation.”
