Anisakan, Myanmar, 7 July 2024 -- On 5 July 2024, Msgr. Andrea Ferrante, Vatican charge d’affaires to Myanmar, made a pastoral visit to Don Bosco-Anisakan, where over 300 participants, including SDBs, FMAs, students, and parishioners, solemnly welcomed him with songs and cultural dances.
The superior, Fr Bosco Nyi Nyi, SDB, delivered his welcoming speech, explaining the different missions and functions of the four communities in brief. Msgr. Andrea expressed his gratitude for the heartfelt welcoming programs and also passed on the papal message to the audience, stressing that the Pope’s heart is very close to Myanmar people. He also met the Salesian Family in private for 45 minutes at Don Bosco Provincialate.
