Anisakan, Myanmar, 25 February 2024 -- On 24 February 2024, the sharing of the Strenna 2024 was organized by Salesian Family Commission at Don Bosco Provincialate, Anisakan, Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar. The event began with the Holy Mass at 6:30 A.M. on the stage in the shrine of Mary Help of Christians. The superior, Fr. Bosco Nyi Nyi (SDB) presided over the mass. Still, the homily was given by Fr. John Gam Seng (SDB), the provincial delegate for the Salesian Family.
The second part of the programs began at 9:00 A.M. in the Mamma Margaret Hall. Firstly, the novice director, Fr. Saw John Shin Win (SDB), said an opening prayer, imploring the grace of God for the success in the programs and the mission. Secondly, the vice-superior, Fr. Leo Mang (SDB) welcomed the participants and announced the programs of the day. Thirdly, Fr. John Gam Seng thanked the Salesian family and encouraged them to cooperate enthusiastically in the Salesian mission. After that, the superior Fr. Bosco Nyi Nyi shared his insights and reflections on the Strenna 2024: “The Dream that makes you dream,” leaving two questions for small group discussions and sharing: what are your dreams, and how can we help the young people to realize their dreams?
The Strenna 2024 video with Myanmar language dubbing prepared by the Social Communication Commission was also viewed together with much delight. The programs of the day ended with the presentations of the small groups’ reflections through the respective representatives.
The event vividly reveals that the members of the Salesian Family in Myanmar have bright dreams of hope and of prosperity for their nations, their country, and mostly for the entire humanity.
