Tang King Po College, Hong Kong, China, 6 February 2024 -- Fr. Carlos Cheung presided at the blessing of the Lunar New Year's Eve stalls in Victoria Park, Hong Kong. Together with the Principal, Miss Tracy Wong, Vice-Principals, former Principals, more than ten teachers and alumni, they all came to support this year's Student Union's Lunar New Year's Eve Booth, "Hong Kong Stylish Dragons" at the Victoria Park, Hong Kong.
As it is the Year of the Dragon, this year, the students mainly sell various types of dragon dolls and self-designed large-capacity water bottles. Mr. Choi, the consultant of the student union, went to the Guangzhou wholesale market with the students to look at the goods as usual. The teacher wanted to accompany the students and said, “I want to take them back to see the process of running a business, from finding the manufacturer to contacting them, negotiating the price, and finally, the delivery of the goods."
Fr. Carlos reminded the students during the blessing ceremony that friendship and shared experiences are more important than making money. It is also a valuable learning process. He wishes that students will enjoy the process and gain experiences that are more important than money and, more importantly, share Christ's love and blessings with their neighbors and family.
