Anisakan, Myanmar, 13 December 2023 -- The three-day course on Psycho-spirituality (December 9 to 11), was organised by the MYM Formation Commission for all the perpetually professed confreres in the vice-province of Myanmar. The speaker was Fr Jose Vettom, SDB, from Bangalore Province, India.
During these days, the participants learned about important features regarding our relationships with God and others, religious life (boundaries, vows, and virtues), and healing of hurts as pains of the past. Furthermore, of the four types of parenting, the one useful and most appropriate style for us, Salesians and educators, is the authoritative style: “firmly but gently.” Many participants discussed it and shared it with each other during the talk sessions.
Fr Jose’s ideas are clear, simple, and down to earth, and his voice is audible and pleasant. The participants appreciated the talk very much and expressed their sincere desire to have such kinds of courses in the near future as well.
