       K'Long, Vietnam, 5 October 2022 -- On October 2, 2022 at K’Long Salesian Retreat Center (Duc Trong, Lam Dong), the Association of Salesian Cooperators in Vietnam gladly welcomed 41 new members who promised to join.

       During the annual retreats in 2022 at K’Long Retreat Center, the Vietnamese Salesian Cooperators were accompanied by the Provincial, Fr Barnaba Le An Phong, Fr Peter Nguyen Viet Quang Minh – Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry, Brother Martino Bui Van Luan – Provincial Delegate for the Salesian Family, Members of the Salesian Cooperator Provincial Council in Vietnam; Fr Joseph Tran Van Hien – Rector of K’Long Community, and Sisters (FMA) of other Centers.

       The Cooperators’ annual retreat is held every year on the occasion of the Feast of the Our Lady of the Rosary, but due to the Covid epidemic it could not be held in 2021. This year, more than 400 brothers and sisters who are cooperators, candidates and some relatives of candidates promised to attend.

       At 10 o’clock on Sunday, October 2, Fr Barnabas presided at the celebration of Our Lady of the Rosary. During the Mass there was a ceremony of Promise and reception of 41 new Cooperator members. The two youngest ones are Dominic Nguyen Huu Nghia and Maria Nguyen Doan Minh Thu (both 18 years old), from the Christ the King Center (Vung Tau). The oldest one is Mr. Dam Van Sinh (73 years old), Morano Center (Hanoi).
