Cat Dam, Viet Nam, 14 January 2018 -- On last Sunday, Jan 14, 2018 was a really a blessed and joyfull day for all the yung in youth center in Cat Dam Salesian community. This was the day of football games in order to celebrate the patron Saint of the commuity, the Blessed Luigi Varira, and also celebrate in advance the feast day of Don Bosco and new year 2018.
This day of football with participants of 8 teams: Cat Dam 1, Cat Dam 2, Cat Noi, Trai Gao, Quang Nap, Nha Thi Dau Thai Binh, Ban Mai, and Ban Chieu. After the tournaments, and semifinals. Two teams entered to the final games were Cat Noi and Nha Thi Dau Thai Binh. These two teams offered the audiences the very nice match with interesting and palpitating feelings. And finally, the Cat Noi team became the champion team of this football day.
This day was so happy and enjoyable, but the most important was the educational aspect of this day because all the young had a chance to come to the house of Don Bosco and they had opportunity to listen to the Salesians to tell them about the love of Don Bosco for them. Besides, the Salesian also always emphasized to them about the spirit of happiness and playing in the house of Don Bosco but not committing sins.
After the football games, all the football players and also visitors had a chance to know and to enjoy with each other at lunch in Don Bosco Cat Dam. Even though during the games there were some misunderstandings or conflicts, but they all be solved during this very friendly and fraternal lunch, and they really talked and shared with each other as in a true family. The football day was over but the love of God through the disciples of Don Bosco continued to remain in all the players and visitors of this football day in Cat Dam, North of Viet Nam.
