Victorias, Negro Occidental, Philippines, 18 September 2023 -- Principals and assistant principals from the three big schools in the FIS Province gathered at Don Bosco Technical Institute-Victorias on 14-15 September 2023, for the Sector on Schools Meeting. This two-day meeting aimed to address critical objectives and set the course for the FIS sector on schools in the coming years.

The meeting was participated by the following: Commission on Youth Ministry: Fr. Rooney John G. Undar, SDB, and Ms. Marie Arrianne A. Diolingo, Don Bosco Technical College-Cebu (DBTC-Cebu): Mr. Eleuterio M. Abainza, Mrs. Marichu Librea, and Mrs. Girly V. Lambating, St. Louis School of Don Bosco-Dumaguete (SLS-DB): Dr. Estelita Duran and Mr. Joseph Wilmer Lasola, and Don Bosco Technical Institute-Victorias (DBTI-Victorias): Fr. Eligio R. Santos, SDB, Ms. Maria Victoria A. Segaya, Mrs. Jona P. Castro, and Mrs. Ma. Regina B. Escleva.

Day 1 morning session focused on the following agenda: Sector on Schools Report, Common Yearly Activities, and School Operations facilitated by Fr. Rooney John G. Undar, SDB while the afternoon session facilitated by Mr. Paul Ray Mark N. Salsag focused on School Quality Management Action Plan. Moreover, day 2 session tackled Crafting of Academic Leaders’ Professional Development Plan.

This meeting served as a platform for educational leaders to collaborate, share insights, and chart a course of the FIS school sector in the coming years. With a focus on quality management and long-term planning, the academic leaders left with a renewed commitment to fostering excellence in Salesian education.
