Sharing the dreams of the Salesian Family
Tokyo, Japan, 12 January 2018 -- The Joint Council of the Salesian Family of 2018 was held on 9th in the provincial house of the Caritas Sisters of Jesus (Suginami, Tokyo). The annual event was attended by 30 representatives from Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), Salesian Sisters (FMA), Caritas Sisters of Jesus (SCG), Salesian Cooperators (ASC), ADMA, the Federation of Don Bosco Alumni Japan Federation, and Unione Japan (FMA Past Pupils).
First of all, Fr. Mario Yamanouchi, Provincial SDB Japan explained this year's Strenna 'Let's cultivate the art of listening and of accompanying. He stressed: "It is important for each of us to change first through encounter with Jesus, Then we will call on the change of young people and people who are usually involved with us."
Subsequently, after reporting on the activities and initiatives of each Congregation and Association over the past year, we divided into four groups, and shared the dreams as one Salesian family, and what we can do in the occasion of the visit of the Rector Major Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, SDB scheduled for November this year. Many constructive opinions were given in a free atmosphere.
After the evening prayer in the chapel, we moved to the dining room and enjoyed the delicious dinner prepared by the Caritas Sisters. Finally, we received the Good Night Talk and the Blessings with the prayer to Mary Help of Christians by Fr. Yamanouchi, and the meeting was closed with big joy.
