Seoul, Korea, 2 October 2022 -- Since mid-September the Korea Province (Holy Korean Martyrs, KOR) has been preparing for the 2022 'Salesian Missions Day' with the theme 'Communicating Christ Today'. The provincial commission for the missions (Coordinator, Fr Stefano Yu ji-hun) working together with the Social Communication commission (Delegate, Fr Samuel Yu myong-il) has animated the whole provincial community towards the October 23rd 'Salesian Mission Day' (SMD) held after 3 years finally together in the Seoul provincial house, attended also by other groups of the Salesian Family.
Before the end of September the Korean version of the animation booklet (52 pages in English, 60 pages in Korean) was released - good quality animation materials for personal or community reading or sharing. Each community is invited to offer the 'Salesian Mission Day 2022' prayer during their Vespers each day.
The main goals of this SMD 2022 are about about raising interest and offering formation to all Salesians about evangelization opportunities in the digital world, especially through social media. Each community is invited to send to the Mission Office a 3-minute video-clip (drama, music video, advertisement, tik-tok style) and on October 23rd an award ceremony will be held.
Salesian Mission Day 2022 is open to all Salesian Family groups and aims to bridge the generation gap regarding digital technology. Hence also the members of the SYM, young Salesian Cooperators or Past Pupils are most welcome.
Besides the SMD 2022 'Project' for the Bolivian Don Bosco Radio (proposed fundraising from the Mission Sector, RMG), there will also be a chance to see the Korea Salesian Mission Office 2022 Exhibition.
