Hanoi, Vietnam, 28 July 2023 -- The Salesians in Nong Vu in Hanoi started their summer apostolate with some activities for the young people since 8 June. Every day some of fifty children come to the Don Bosco community to learn English, musical instruments and other skills. The youngsters are taught to visit the Blessed Sacrament when they go to the church, do chores, and say nice words to their seniors and friends. During the break time, they joined the games and sports. This Salesian works help the young to use their time usefully and prevents them from wasting time using smartphones or T.V.
At the end of summer, the young people gathered to perform some results they have practiced in singing English songs, dancing, and playing musical instruments. On July 24th, they had a day enjoying at West Lake Water Park. This was their first time to go out together. They were so happy after a day of blessings. They felt grateful to God and the Salesians as well as parents and benefactors.
Through this summer apostolate, may the Lord bless us Salesians and especially the Salesian mission in the North of Vietnam, so that the charism of Don Bosco can spread to every corner where the poor young people are present.
