Vietnam, 20 December 2021 -- On the first day of Christmas Novena, 16 December 2021, Hoa An Community - included Nong Vu presence in Ha noi - gathered to have a monthly recollection. At 8:30, Fr. Joseph Tin, Rector of the community gave some reflections. He mentioned the gentle manifestation of God, and how we Salesians would live that loving presence.
The Salesians first and foremost should express the attentive and joyful presence among the youth. Fr. Joseph also recalled the aspiration of the youth at GC 28: ‘we young people thirst for love and presence of Salesians.
The encounter was followed by a meeting in which everyone shared his own respective ministry.
The prayer for a happy death was said before the Holy Mass. In his homily, Fr. Chỉ helped the community reflect on the image of John. Are we to be greatest or lowliest people? It depends on the way we serve and accompany the young.
During lunch, the community offered one another Christmas gifts and wishes.
