The 6th of General Chapter of The Sisters of the Queenship of Mary

       Nakornpathom, Thailand, 27 April 2021 -- From 22-26 April 2021, The Sisters of the Queenship of Mary held their 6th General Chapter at Baan Phu Waan, Nakornpathom Province, with the theme: "Disciples of Christ - Living New Evangelizers". 22 members participated in this historic event, representing the various communities.

       All together, the Chapter members sought the will of God in matters of importance, in an atmosphere of love and unity, and looked for ways to be faithful to the Gospel and to the spiritual heritage of the founder.

       The Chapter Assembly held the election for the new Superior General of the Congregation: Sr.Maria Magdalen Pranee Kumputh, elected for the second time, and will serve from 2021 - 2025.

       The Assembly also chose the Council Members of the General Superior:

       1. Sr.Maria Magdalen Pranee Kumputh - Superior General

       2. Sr.Maria Ladda Ratchaneeladdajit - Vicar General

       3. Se.Maria Mazzarello Suneerat Mitcharoentaworn - Treasurer

       4. Sr.Teresa Orachorn Kittawee - Advisor for formation

       5. Sr.Angela Anchalee Keesee - Advisor for Evangelization and Education

       The meeting proceeded smoothly under the expert guidance of Fr. Charles Velardo, SDB. He also gave additional reflections on the three vows in the religious life, the life of prayer, the community life, and being religious - evangelizers.

       The Sisters of the Queenship of Mary are members of the Salesian Family, founded by the Servant of God Fr Carlo Della Torre SDB, (1900-1982). These sisters are dedicated to the education of the young through schools. They also work in various capacities in the Catholic Dioceses of Thailand, namely, in Bangkok, Surat Thani, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Ubonratchathani.

       Let us pray for the congregation and all the members so that they will live according to the charism of founder for the salvation of the young.
