Surabaya, Indonesia, 17 June 2024 -- St. Michael's Parish hosted a teen mass for seven parishes in Surabaya-North Vicariate on Sunday, 16 June. More than three hundred teenagers attended the mass celebrated by Fr. Catur Prastawa, SDB. This activity was initiated to promote the young people's devotion to the Sacrament of The Holy Eucharist. This specific objective was highlighted in the theme: “Be an agent of the Eucharist!”
In his homily, Fr. Catur challenged the teenagers to have a cooperative attitude in receiving God's plan for their lives and becoming fruitful seeds of the kingdom of God. He also invited the youth to sing “You Raise Me Up” and realize that God has a big plan for each one of them.
This activity is also a venue to promote the Catholic youth in this region, where the Catholic faithful are a minority.
