(1st) FORMATIVE EXPERIENCE IN THE HOLY LAND 

20-29 AUGUST 2018

 

ENCOUNTERING JESUS IN HIS LAND THROUGH HIS WORD

The first edition of the Formative Experience in the Holy Land (EFTS) was conducted from 20th to 29th August 2018 by the team appointed by Fr. Ivo Coelho, General Councillor for Formation. The team consisted of Fr. Juan José Bartolomé, Marco Rosetti and Shaji Joseph Puykunnel.

 

 

 

There were 34 participants in all, divided into two linguistic groups: 14 in the Italian group and 20 in the English group. The visits to the various places were done together with Fr. Marco as guide and Fr. Shaji as trnslator into English. The afternoon sessions of Bible Study and Lectio Divina were conducted separately. Fr. Marco took care of the Italian group and Fr. Shaji of the English group. During the liturgical celebrations wherever possible, Fr. Bartolomé gave a homily in Italian which Fr. Shaji translated into English for the benefit of the whole group.
