Fatumaca, Timor East, July 4 - Quiz competition on Don Bosco’s life was held in Colégio de Don Bosco – Fatumaca, on July 4, 2015, in preparation to celebrating the bicentenary of the birth of Dom Bosco. The participants were mainly the students of the Salesian schools from the primary school level to secondary school. The schools participated:

  1. Primary, Junior and Secondary Schools of Venilale, accompanied by Fr. Abrao Pinto SDB and Sr. Jacinta, FMA along with the teachers
  2. Primary, Junior and Secondary Schools of Baucau, accompanied by Fr. Agnelo SDB and the teachers
  3. Schools of Fatumaca, the host of the activity.

It was actively participated by all the students and teachers of the respective schools.

The winner of the quiz for the primary school level was from the Primary School of Don Bosco Fatumaca; and the Junior School level was the school of Saint Cristovao Venilale and the Secondary level was the Saint Anthony School of Baucau. The winner from each school level would be proceeding to compete in national quiz competition in Dili, on 17 and 18 July 2015.

The main organizers of this activity are the Brothers in formation house of Post-Novitiate Dili. All the arrangements are organised by them and the materials of the quiz is based on the Memoirs of the biographical of Don Bosco, version Tetum.

The aim of organizing this quiz is to deepen the knowledge of the students/youths on Don Bosco’s life. Thanks to the brothers from the Post-Novitiate of Dili for masterminding this meaningful activity. VIVA DON BOSCO!
