Don Bosco Alafua
Alafua, Samoa, 13 May 2018 -- Annual canonical provincial’s visitation of our community Alafua Don Bosco happen this year between May 10-13, 2018. Fr. William Matthews officially opened his visitation at 12noon on May 10 together with the confreres at Alafua Community. This year our community has 4 Salesians - Fr. Petelo, Fr. Taisali, Fr. Filipo and Cl. Eteutati.
Beside the personal talks with the Provincial there was a meaningful encounter with the Salesian Cooperators of Apia. Evening Mass together with the Co-operators celebrated by Fr. William Matthews and con-celebrated by Fr. Petelo (Delegate for the Pacific). Fr. Taisali warmly welcomed the Provincial, all other Salesians and also the Salesian Cooperators on that day before the Mass started. After the Eucharist followe a joint meal The official closing of the Provincial Visitation for three days in Alafua on May 12, 2018 with a huge smile of joy and feeling of success.
Next day, May 13th was a Celebration of Mother’s Day was on May 13th, 2018, together with items and entertainments from our Sunday school children at Don Bosco Parish Sinamoga. Fr. Petelo celebrated Mass on that special day for all the mothers in Samoa and overseas.
