By Fr. Anthony Kishore Minj, SDB

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, 31 August 2016 -- Fr. Joseph Nguyen Van Quang, SDB the provincial of Vietnam made canonical visitation of two communities in Mongolia. From August 24- 28 he spent his quality time with the conferrers in Don Bosco community Darkhan. From August 29 to 31 he was in Don Bosco community Ulaanbaatar.

While meeting the conferrers individually and as a group he encouraged everyone to form a community where fraternal love, care and concern for each other reigns. He emphasized on fraternal dialogue, shared responsibility. He advised the conferrers to cultivate planning mentality and deepen more and more the mystic way of life, strengthen the family spirit in the community, and have a new vision to be good servants of the young.

While addressing the children and parents at the Don Bosoc Care Center on August 30 he said that everyone should acquire knowledge and experience from everything that they do. The children are the future of nation, the growth of the society depends upon the right method of bringing up the children. Don Bosco Care Center is the place where true and right education takes place. Teachers and parents must always cooperate, collaborate and work together for the well-being of children. The children must understand that they are loved by the elders. To the children, he said that they should be interested in learning and enriching oneself and be humble enough to be taught.

As he addressed the teachers, parents and students of Don Bosco Technical School on August 31 he said that everyone should try their best to be good persons and honest citizens of Mongolia. “A new academic year should begin with new enthusiasm, zeal and full of ambition to enrich one’s life with new knowledge, wisdom and understanding”, he added.

On August 28, with three bishops and many other priests he also participated in the ordination rite of the first priest of Mongolia Fr. Enkh Joseph.

As a delegate of Mongolia we express our heartfelt gratitude to our dear provincial for his special care and concern and for having spent his precious time with the conferrers. His fatherly concern, his sharing and encouragement, his fraternal corrections and advice has indeed strengthened the bond and communion in both the communities.
