Batulao, the Philippines, 4 May 2016 — The FIN Province has a new vice provincial in the person of Fr. Felino "Ditto" Gueco, SDB. He was installed by Fr. Paul Bicomong, FIN Provincial Superior, in this morning's celebration of the Holy Mass.
Fr. Ditto was the main celebrant in the votive Mass celebrated in honor of St. John Bosco. The installation was witnessed by the chapter members as the FIN Provincial Chapter is on its third day now.
In his homily, Fr. Ditto asked the confreres to be united with him in prayer under the leadership of Fr. Provincial.
He also thanked Fr. Danny Torres whom he succeeded for taking on the post for almost a decade. He asked the capitulars to give Fr. Danny a round of applause.
Together with Fr. Ditto, three rectors were also installed: Fr. Roger Tamares, SDB (St. John Bosco Parish--Sta. Rosa); Fr. Dante Valero, SDB (Mary Help of Christans Parish--Mayapa) and Fr. Gerry Martin (Don Bosco Prenovitiate Seminary--Canlubang). Fr. Gerry is on his third term, while the two are starting a fresh term as rectors.
