EAO Stats file improved and downloadable

ROME: 8th March 2005 --  The previously announced file eaostatsv2bn.zip (which contained a file by the same name with .mdb extension - MSaccess, therefore) is now at version 3, henceeaostatsv3bn.zip.  Always available from www.bosconet.aust.com
The new build has overcome one known error in the reports (perpetually professed lay members were listed as temporarily professed lay members) but has added additional reports, especially further breakdowns of categories, e.g. deaths separated from departures.   And while not yet at the report stage, the forms (which remain locked to prevent accidental change of information) have begun to include new information - age statistics, for example for the period 1994-2004, as yet incomplete, but you can take a look at the 1994 stats and compare them with the 2003 ones if you want.  Community information is also being added at this point.  Currently just one province AUL.  Others will follow.
The aim is to make this resource an accessible directory for the region with as much current information as is available and humanly possible to deal with - at a certain point the file will become just too large to upload/download or to open online.  At that point we would need to make it into a CD.  But we are not at that point just yet.
