EAO Region celebrates June Ordinations

CREMISAN (Holy Land): 8th June '04 --  June is definitely 'ordination month' for many from the East Asia-Oceania Region, a total of 10 in all between priestly and diaconate ordinations at Cremisan and diaconate ordinations in Rome.  The Cremisan ordinations take place this coming Thursday 10th June, which is celebrated as the Feast of Corpus Christi there.  The ordinations will be in the Basilica of the Nativity.   The Rome-based ordinations will take place on Saturday 19th June at the Sacred Heart Basilica.

Ola Suban Yosep from Indonesia will be ordained priest at Cremisan on Thursday.  His companion from Indonesia, Matius Sudiantoro, will be ordained deacon.  From East Timor, as deacons, there will be: Acacio De Castro and Jose Augusto; from Thailand: Kriengsak Chaiyaphornkaew, and from the Philippines, Reechee Espiritu.  Albeiro Rodas, a Colombian, but destined for the mission in Cambodia, which comes under the Thai Province, will be ordained deacon also.  The Thai Provincial, Fr. Joseph Prathan, will be there for the occasion.

In Rome it will be the turn of the Japanese and Vietnamese students studying at the Salesian Theologate Community.  To be ordained deacon: Joseph Shoichiro (Japan), and Joseph Duc Tam Ngyuen, Francis Thien Huan Tu, and Tommaso Duy Tong Vu.
