Jakarta, Indonesia – 14 March 2024 -- 17 Salesian Cooperators from the Sunter Local Center, accompanied by their Salesian Delegate, Fr Noel SDB, welcome the Fourth Sunday of Lent with a four-day Pilgrimage, Charity and Recreational Tour of Central Java. The group journeyed through Purwodadi, Semarang, Yogyakarta, and neighboring cities in the true spirit of Lenten prayer, mortification, and sharing. The main destination of the trip, dubbed as “Ro-Ro” (Rohani-Rohana), as it is a combination of religious and recreational excursion, was our school and boarding house for boys in Purwodadi. The group has prepared a whole set of school supplies, toiletries, and foodstuffs for each of the kids and their teachers. Talk about the joy of sharing and caring! In the following days, the group would visit several Marian shrines, where they expressed their faith through the traditional devotions of the rosary and Way of the Cross. The rest of the itinerary was a mixture of spiritual and recreational activities, always characterized by the trademark Salesian joy, spontaneity, simplicity, and cheerfulness.
