Dalat, Vietnam, Oct 14, 2015 - At Don Rua Postnovitiate from Oct 12-14, there was a seminar on promoting communicational skill, held by Youth Pastoral commission and Mass media commission of Dalat deanery. This was the first time a such seminar was held here with the theme : ‘Comunication, means of Evangelization’.

Attending the seminar, there were Fr. Paul Huan, the vicar general of the Diocese of Dalat; Fr. John Bosco Hoang van Chinh, head of Bishop’s office; Fr. Paul Quach quoc Binh SDB, the priest in charge of Youth Ministry of the deanery; some Salesian and diocesan priests.

Fr Paul Huan gave an impressive speech to the audience. He said: “The seminar like this is an interesting initiative to respond to the Church’s request. Those who are engaged in the area of social communication must assume important responsibility. They have to be led by an authentic spirituality with clear honesty. Moreover, they should to be open to everybody to transfer not only news but peace and goodness to help them to grow.” Fr. Paul Huan also hoped for more seminars like this in the future, in higher and higher level. The seminar on this subject would be helpful and necessary for all parishes, religious communites and groups of the young. Then, he concluded: “Communication is an important means of evangelization today.”

The seminar will be hold in three evenings with 3 subjects : The goal of Christian communication; The history of communication –Kinds of magazines; The writing skill and technique of shooting photos. The speakers were Mr Roco Le huu Phuoc, a reporter and also a Salesian cooperator; Mr. Joseph Nguyen ngoc Hiep, a member of communication commission of the diocese; and Fr. Joseph Nguyen ngoc Lien, a diocesan priest.
