Don Bosco Tan Tien Intermediate Technical School

Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam, 2 September 2017 -- In the atmostphere of excitement of the new school year time of the whole country with millions of teachers, students, and pupils entering to a new journey of discovery of knowledge. The Don Bosco Tan Tien intermediate technical school already officially began new school year of 2017 – 2018 on September 2, 2017.

Present at the openning of the new school year was Salesians, FMAs, teachers, local authority of the government, representative from Sai Gon Investment Com. Limtd, parents of the students, together with 260 male boarders and 60 female boarders.

At 8am, after performance of the band of the boarders, the openning ceremony of new school year began. The ceremony started with saluting the flag and singing of the national anthem, after that was the speech of Salesian brother Nguyen Hoang Long, SDB. the principal of the school. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of skill education, and in this line, the school determined to educate and to train the students to become skillful persons, so that they will become good workers, and above all they must become good and honest citizens, so that they will really become useful for society and their own families. After his speech, the principal stroke the drum as the sign of the openning of the new school year, and with the sound of the drum as pushing the students to go to school with zeal and exciment in order to learn and be trained to become good sons and daughters, and of course to become good students as parents and teachers expected.

One of the students spoke on behalf of all the students in order to promise that they will try their best to study according to the desire of the Salesians, and teachers. And then the boarders performed a Rock dance with cheerfulness and interesting. And with the song “You raise me up”, the Salesian in charge of the boarding house wanted to encourage all the students try to help each other to overcome difficulties in daily living.

After that, some scholarships were given to students those were poor and studied well in the last school year. After that father Rector Nguyen Anh Tuan advised and encouraged students in a fatherly way to conclude the openning new school year ceremony.

Finally, the Nguyen Xuan Quang, the head of the training office had a meeting with the parents. And then they had lunch together in order to enjoy family spirit.
