Bankok, Thailand, 26 October 2016 -- On his trip from Mongolia Delegation to Myanmar Vice-province Fr Angel F. Artime met for one full day (October 26) the FIS Provincial Fr. Godofredo Atienza and three of his councilors (economer, formation delegate and PAK delegate) together with other 6 confreres. Thanks to the traditional excellent Thai hospitality all FIS confreres felt at home in the Bangkok SDB provincial house.

The 10th successor of Don Bosco called this encounter especially to listen and understand better the present and future dynamic of the charismatic growth in the young Delegation of FIS province. At the end of the day the group confirmed few converging criteria and strategies.

Among the main pointers for the future of the Salesian Charism emerged: constant care about Salesian consecrated vocations with a good discernment and accompaniment; strengthening our two communities; accompaniment and formation of the Salesian Cooperators and Don Bosco Past Pupils; patient mutual listening for a participatory shared vision mission of our youth ministry; wide and wise connection with the FIS province & world Salesian Congregation and self-sustainability of the mission.

During the final Eucharist the participants gave thanks to God for this growth and asked God blessing for the future steps. During the day many Bangkok based Thai province confreres shared the meals and familiar moments with the Rector Major.

There were present Sampran Formation house prenovices (4), novices (5) and postnovices (3) with their formators, Bangkok ADMA group (50) with their spiritual animators and few others. Also the presence of visiting Bishop of Bacolod, Mons. Patrick Buzon, SDB was enrichment of this encounter day.

All participants are deeply grateful for the special care of Fr Paul Prasert, provincial of THA, his provincial economer Br. Worawuth and the provincial house rector Fr. Aaron Alcoseba.
