Ordination of two new priests in Seoul
Seoul, Korea, 13 April 2018 -- The Salesian Province of Korea held the fervent and joyful Ceremony of the Ordination of two priests. Most Rev. Benedictus Son Hee-song, S.T.D., D.D., Auxiliary Bishop of Seoul Archdiocese, was the main Celebrant accompanied by some eighty Priests.
The newly ordained were Fr. Paul Lee Hyun Jin and Fr. John Baptist Yu Sang Cheol.
By this Ordination, all of them felt taken closer to the heart of Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, ready to work for the young with the heart of Don Bosco.
Fr. Paul Lee Hyun Jin, spent the last three years at the International Seminary of Parañaque in the Philippines with the many confreres of different nations of EAO. After ordination, he will work for the young at the Salesian Future Training Center in Seoul.
Meanwhile, Fr. John Baptist Yu completed his study for the priesthood ordination at the Diocesan Seminary of Seoul. Following his studies, he stayed in the formation community of Don Bosco Center in Seoul, helping in the educational and pastoral work for the young of the community. Now he is working for the young at the Salesian Youth Center in Daejeon.
At the closing of the Ordination Mass, Fr. John Baptist Yu pronounced a heartfelt thanks to the members of Salesian family, especially those who were present, for their fervent help and prayers. He promised to live as a faithful son of Don Bosco till the end of the life.
