       Suva, Fiji, 19 June 2023 -- In a vibrant celebration of faith and community, St John Bosco Parish in Suva, Fiji came alive today during the Mass led by Father James Kyaw Hoe (Rector of Salesian Community). The Highlight of today’s service was the commissioning of the liturgical ministers by Father Taisali Leuluai our Parish Priest, an important event that symbolises the commitment and dedication of individuals who serve the parish in various capacities. The occasion was graced by the presence of Father James Kyaw Hoe, Father Tuia Afoa, and Father Peter, adding to the significance of the event and strengthening the spiritual bond within the community. The individuals who had been diligently prepared by the Parish Priest and our Rector are ready to be commissioned as liturgical ministers, making an important step in their journey of service to the parish and the wider Church. The liturgical ministers, comprising lectors, extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, and altar servers play a crucial role in the smooth running of the liturgy and creating a reverent atmosphere for worship. Their commitment to serving their fellow parishioners and aiding in the celebration of the sacraments is invaluable. Through their actions, they contribute to the spiritual growth of the community, fostering an environment conducive to prayer, reflection, and deepening of faith. As they embark on their roles, their service will undoubtedly strengthen the spiritual fabric of the Community and foster a deeper encounter with God. St John Bosco Parish continues to shine as a beacon of faith, love, and unity in Fiji.
