Salesian Academic Camp

Saeng Thong Vithaya School, Hatyai, Thailand, 21 January 2020 -- From 16-17 January 2020, Fr. John Bosco Dheparat Pitisant, the Provincial of Thailand, was the guest of honor for the opening of the Salesian Academic Camp 2020 with the slogan: "We Are Don Bosco's Gifts". This activity was hosted by the Commission on Salesian Schools. The venue was Saeng Thong Vithaya School, Hatyai, Songkhla Province. Students - representatives of the junior and senior high school levels from the Salesian schools, including those from the Technological Colleges came together for this interesting event. All-in-all there were 422 participating students and 94 teachers.

The participating students were divided into various academic activities: 60 for mathematics, 59 for Science, 60 for English, 56 for Computer and Innovation, 72 for 'The Spaghetti Competition 2020, 69 for the 'Salesian CANSAT-ROCKET 2020, 21 for Magic Games for Geniuses, and 187 students for 'Check It And Go'.

Moreover, this academic activity is held every three years, alternating with sports and scouting activities. The Salesian schools take turns in playing as host. These activities encourage unity among the students and educators. These make them also realize that they are all gifts of God for each other through their being children of the same father - Don Bosco.
