For the AustraLasia 5000

Dili, Timor Leste, 2 February 2019 -- We would like to congratulate the AustraLasia team, who are about to issue no. 5,000 ALA in our region. Your tireless efforts to put together all the news and updates from different provinces, vice-provinces, and delegations within the EAO region has become a source of inspiration in our commitment to live out our vocation as bearers of God’s love for young people in today’s world. Your service is a proof that as Salesians, we are always united as one family; a family that shares the same charism though we work in different countries with different life styles, cultures, and expectations.

AustraLasia has become a useful and vibrant means of communication through which we can share and communicate our apostolic mission and services dedicated to young people, most specifically the poor ones throughout the Region.

Certainly, AustraLasia provides lots of significant news regarding the ongoing ministry that each and every province, vice province, and delegation does in their home provinces. The news shared by different provinces through Australasia have become a source of inspiration that motivates and inspires each province to improve and to strengthen their commitment and dedication to serve God’s people entrusted to their care (young people who are poor and at riskr) with faith, hope, and love.

We hope that AustraLasia will continue to be a constant source of inspiration, a means by which we can encounter the love of God and his blessing upon those who put their total trust in him. May the Good Lord, protect and keep you always in his love!
