DBRTC Graduation

TETERE: 13 November 2011 -- On November 11, 2011, Don Bosco Rural Training Centre, Tetere, held its 6th graduation ceremony. Graduands were were 38 students who for the past two years have spent their time at the school acquiring new skills.
The ceremony was divided into three parts: the first was the celebration of Eucharist presided over by the  auxiliary bishop of Honiara, Bishop John Doaninoel, several others priests, FMA Sisters, the de la Pietà Sisters, and DMI sisters, and other invited guests.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, certificates were awarded. All 38 graduates received their certificates from the Rector Fr. Michael Lap sdb and later received a spade each and a packet of eggplant seeds as a token of appreciation from the school.
A delicious lunch was offered to the graduates, guests, parents and friends. Everyone enjoyed a healthy meal prepared by the school and the parents of the graduates. A “put-together” as the culture requests the meal be shared. More 'flavours' were added with
 live entertainment.
It was truly a blessed day for the school to witness yet again another batch of Bosconians from all over the country to graduate from a Don Bosco School. All departed rejoicing.
