Blitar – Indonesia, 4 April 2024 --One of the unique things about the Indonesian nation is the diversity of religions – Islam, Catholicism, Protestant Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and other indigenous religions. The entire St. Yusuf Catholic Vocational School community, Blitar, feels this religious diversity. During the month of Ramadan this year, all Muslims fast. On Wednesday, 3 April 2024, the extended family of St. Yusup Blitar held an iftar activity together with the theme "Sharing Happiness and Strengthening Brotherhood". This activity of breaking the fast together was started in 2007.

Also present at this Breaking the Fast event were Mrs. Endang Sulistiowati, S.Pd, Mpd., the School Supervisor from the Blitar City Education Office, and Mr. Drs. The activity began with prayer, remarks from the chairman of the committee represented by Mr. Imam Susilo, S.Si, and remarks from the Principal, Fr Ferdinandus A.M.D. Reo, SDB, and Mrs. Endang Sulistiowati. Mr Imam Susilo said that every believer has been destined by God. So, the hope is that everyone can do their best for the common good. Father Ferdinandus invited all teachers and employees to set an example for one another and also thanked the Muslim teachers and employees who were willing to give themselves to work at this institution. Mrs. Endang, in her speech, underlined that "a form of tolerance in togetherness is by breaking the fast together."

Next, there was Tausiah, presented by Mr. Hendra Budi Rukmana, S.Pd, with the theme "Work Ethic." He stressed that people with a work ethic must have an orientation towards the future, work hard, respect time, be responsible, and be sincere and grateful.
