Vinh Long, Vietnam, 23 November 2022 -- On the morning of November 17, 2022, for the first time, the Robocon Contest at Don Bosco My Thuan Technical School took place in an exciting atmosphere, attracting contestants and a large audience to cheer.
The contest aimed to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20, as well as arouse a passion for science - engineering - technology, create a useful playground, help the students have the opportunity to exchange and learn from each other, apply the knowledge learned to create useful models and products for life. The competition had 4 participating teams representing each class in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, each team consisted of 2 participants.
For this first occasions, the teams brought robots with unique and strange looks. They were designed in the style of armored cars. It can be said that these robots are simple but have shown the creative spirit of the students.
The teams had to go through 2 rounds of competition. Round 1: Racing competition. Round 2: Competitive rivalry. On the playing field, the members of each team must have agility, accuracy, and coordination to control the robots. The winning team would be the team that won both rounds.
At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the Industrial Electrical Team 4; The second prize belongs to the Refrigeration team 8.
The Robocon contest at Don Bosco My Thuan Technical School was held with great success. The contest has inspired all students in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in particular and the whole school in general with enthusiasm, passion, exploration and creativity in learning and life.
