"There is more happiness in giving than in receiving"

Khuan Long, Satun, Thailand, 10 November 2019 -- On 6-8 November 2019, 83 students and teachers of Mathayom 5 level, SME Programme, of Saeng Thong Vitthaya School [Salesian] and of Thidanukhro School [Salesian Sisters] in Hatyai, Songkhla Province, organized the 'Volunteers Camp" to help the students and enhance the environment of Baan Khao Khrai School located in Khuan Ka Long Municipality, Satun Province. This is a small sized school, and the students follow mostly the Islam religion. The participating students were divided into small units in order to do various activities, as follows:
1. Group dynamic activities to create joy and happiness among the small children
2. Teach some lessons to the primary and junior high school students
3. Help improve the new school library which still lacks books and shelves
4. Help improve the playground of the school
5. Help plant trees around the school
Aside from these activities, the students donated some other things like books, toys, food, plates, beverages, sports materials, various kinds of study materials to the school, which came from the savings and sacrifices from the students themselves. The activities proceeded smoothly, and the students learned to share and to sacrifice. All were happy to give and to help those who are more in need.
