Sports Saengthong Vitthaya School Hatyai, Songkhla Thailand

By Bro. Thanad Anan, SDB

Songkhla, Thailand, 29 June 2018 -- Whenever teams develop leadership skills both individually and collectively, they are more effective, engaged, agile and successful. Saengthong Vitthaya School Sports Day Event, held on June 28 - 29, 2018, was a highly and superbly impressive corporate event for participants and spectators alike.

All students, teachers and supporting staff were grouped into 4 team colors – Red, Yellow, Green and Blue. From the outside , they were fighting, competing and trying to win the first place to get gold medals and trophies, but the inside, we all knew there was unity in them.

Right after school started in May and the date of Sports Day was announced, every student was energetic, excited and ready to go for it. They put a lot of effort into this project creatively, systematically and professionally under supervision of their teachers who had monitored, facilitated and been there for them. By doing so made these two–dayevent ended up with pride, smiles and happiness.

Somehow our Sports Day Event couldn’t be accomplished this big without the support from Parent and School Alumni Associations. We are grateful for that and really do appreciate it.

Since ‘Salesians of Don Bosco’ aims to send a young person out into the world with confidence, comfort with not only themselves but also those around them, an honest citizen, a decent person and well - equipped to take their place in and to make a significant contribution to society, well, to promote youth leadership skills through sports is highly recommended!
