Bencat, Vietnam, March 16, 2016 - In effort to serve the youth in Vietnam more effectively, the VIE province holds some courses of planning this year. The the courses aims to help the confreres to acquire the skill of planning. The first course is now being hold in Caritas Centre at Hiep Binh Phuoc, Thu Duc, HCMC from March 14 to March 17.

There are 28 leaders of the province attending this first course, including Fr Provincial Joseph Nguyen Van Quang, the Provincial councillors, all rectors of 18 communities and 4 Salesian priests who are now working in the North of VietNam. The advisory teacher of this course is Dr Le Dai Tri, an experienced and professional expert in planning.

Each day of the course starts with a moment of praying and meditation. Then, Dr. Tri gives the input of the essential and necessary steps of planning to the participants.

The necessary theory of planning is explained more clearly with rules and concrete application. The sharing of the experiences of the speaker together with the group discussion of the learners, creates an active and exciting atmosphere among the participants. The course focuses on the method of teamwork and the personal brainstorming to recognize the relation between reasons and effects and then to find out the solutions for the problems.

This is the first of series of courses which will be hold throughout this year. The purpose of the courses is not only to provide the knowledge and techniques of planning, but to make the changes of the traditional working style and to build up the planning mentality as the requirement of the last General Chapters. This is the attempt of VIE province to make the Salesian mission in VietNam more effectively.
