Maggiore e tutti i salesiani.

Fraternamente.

Don Vito Orlando.

Brussels 1999-09-10

Gathered together for the Visita d'Insieme with the Rector Major and Members of

his Council, the Provincials and Provincial Councils of BEN, GBR, IRL-MALTA,

OLA, wish to express their dismay and shock at what is happening to you and

your people. We have been suffering with you each day as we read the newspapers

and heard further news from the Rector Major.

We call on our various Governments and the European Commission to do

everything they can to bring the violence and destruction you are experiencing

to a speedy end, and we wish to assure you of our continued prayer, concern and

support.
