Cousin Sr Anna Rosa Sivori FMA speaks of visit

By THA Soc. Com

Bangkok, Thailand, 3 November 2019 -- A few weeks before Pope Francis arrives in Thailand, his cousin, FMA Argentinian missionary Sister Anna Maria Sivori - who has lived and worked for the young people of Thailand over the last for the last 53 years - was interviewed by different media. The THA Province social communication has also offered a simple five minute video in Thai with English subtitles.

Your impression of the Pope? A special character: He is very humble, he practises what he preaches.

What does it mean to have a Pope as relative of the whole family? Nothing special. The Pope comes for all Thai people.

How do you feel about his visit to Thailand? I’m happy that Pope Francis is coming to the Thai people to tell them “God loves you!'

Why did you become a missionary? I wanted to bring the good news to the people and then I was sent to Thailand

What makes you happy as a Salesian Sister? Being with the young makes me happy, teaching them to be a good person, a Christian or other religious believer. In the school there are many opportunities for education, especially when I teach catechism.

Do you have a word for young people? With Pope Francis I would like to tell to the young: Keep your life ideals and fully commit to them, then you will be happy!
