Chofu, Tokyo and Hamamatsu, Japan, 14 August 2020 -- Thank you for your continuous support for our solidarity with the people in need! From August 7th to 8th, we went to the Catholic Church in Hamamatsu in Shizuoka Prefecture (Yokohama diocese). This time, Mr. Patty, who is supporting the migrant children, has a request for the home support of the needy through Fr. Achille Loro Piana, parish priest of Hamamatsu parish entrusted to the Salesians of Don Bosco.

Don Bosco learning support is doing language and maths learning support for children of foreign nationals who can't keep up with school classes. Learning support is held three days a week, and the children who gathered are playing in the hall, and volunteers are supporting learning in the form of individual instruction. 18 children, such as Peruvian and Brazilian youngsters, are coming to study now. They go home after studying.

This time, we were able to reach out with your solidarity help to many families in need, whose children who are studying in Don Bosco learning center. We were touched by the gratitude expressions from the parents or guardians of these children: 'From far away, thank you for thinking about us! or 'We are really happy that the rice bag reached us" or '′ Thank you for thinking about us" or ′′ It was my birthday last time, this is a new birthday this time!" Some of their parents were happy and shed even some tears! The children who recieved support supplies together were really happy too. We received the word ′′Arigato gosaimasu" - Thank you very much, many times.

We are asking again a favor from everyone who likes to help us: Send us the ingredients you need to make a snack and the food you need for children's home. We ask for your cooperation to deliver what you need to a home that is unemployed or paid in corona misfortune. Specifically, I'd like to have ingredients and living supplies like below. However, the expiration date will be limited within one month. Necessary items: "Rice, green bean beans (yn), pasta, tomato paste, flour, canned food, olive oil, mayonnaise, pancake mix, sugar, salt, pepper, condensed milk, jam, sweets, cookies, toothpaste, soap, toilet paper, detergent and powder detergent".
