       Don Bosco Provicialate, Anisakan, Myanmar, 6 June 2022 -- On June 6, 2022, Fr. Saw John Shine Win, SDB was installed as the new rector of St. Joseph Novitiate Community and appointed as the Novice-Master for a three-year term of office. We began a simple and profound ceremony of installation at 7:00 a.m, integrated with the Holy Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Bosco Zaya Aung, SDB (the superior). During the Holy Mass, the two appointment letters of Fr. Rector Major, Fr. Angel Fernandez Artime was publicly read by Fr. Mariano Soe Naing, SDB, followed by the profession of faith by the new rector and novice-master, and the admission of five novices into the Novitiate.

       Fr. Saw John Shine Win was born on 23 October 1984. He made his first profession on 24 May 2009. He made his Perpetual Profession on 31 May 2017. Finally, on 25 May 2018, he was ordained as a Salesian priest in Philippines. In the past 4 years, he served the young as the prefect of the studies at Don Bosco-Nazareth Community. He is the in-charge of Don Bosco Green Alliance (DBGA) in the vice-province of Myanmar as well.

       We give thanks to God for having given us the wonderful gift of the novice-master in the person of Fr. Saw John Shine Win, SDB. Let us continue praying for the newly appointed novice-master so that he may be able to carry out his mission of forming the young novices with the heart of the Good Shepherd and the spirit of our founder, Don Bosco.
