(Canlubang, Philippine) 30 April 2015, monthly commemoration of St. John Bosco, a day filled with much gratefulness and thanksgiving. Fr. Paul Bicomong, Provincial Superior of the SDB-FIN lead the Salesian Family for the funeral mass of Fr. Jose Generoso Taqueban, SDB. Fr. Gene's Rector, Fr. Ramon Borja gave the homily and a short tribute. The mass was held in the Diocesan Shrine of Mary Help of Christians. Aside from the members of the Salesian Family, the relatives, friends, and students of Fr Gene also came to bid their final farewell.

Fr. Gene was laid to his final resting place at the cemetery of Don Bosco Canlubang.
