Get know Don Bosco in Indonesia?

Jakarta, Indonesia, 18 February 2018 -- On the first Sunday of Lenten season the community of Tigaraksa (Jakarta, Indonesia) was present in the Salesian parish of St. John Bosco in Sunter (Jakarta) in order to share and sell the CD with Don Bosco songs in Bahasa Indonesia from Asia (Indonesia, South Korea), Italy and Latin America (Brasile). The SC Delegate of Indonesia, Fr. Onny Bonifasio assisted by the Novicemaster Fr. Andre Delimarta, his 3 novices and Magone vocation group youth did advertise and share the recently produced music CD at the end of all 5 Masses in our parish.

The name of Don Bosco is known in Indonesia long before the arrival of the Salesians and there are few Catholic and non Catholic schools inspired by Don Bosco (after 1934 and after the Pacific War). However to know Don Bosco in never enough.

Even 5000 CD is not enough to get know Don Bosco for the 4400 Catholics of our SJB parish (today sold only 600!) The 'Cafe' SDB audio-video studio produced in past 4 years already a variety of products, both for Timor Leste and Indonesia mission needs:

English subtitles, Bosconian Jakarta video music clip, Sign language video music clip, in minus one (2 series), Tutorial Effect, Novis Tigaraksa, Santa Cecilia.

We hope and pray, that the not-so-much known person, spirit and mission of Don Bosco will be known in this large country more and more for the benefit of many young and the whole Catholic community
