Jakarta, Indonesia, 17 May 2017 -- Indonesia is the most numerous Delegation (ITM Vice-province) in our EAO region with 60+ confreres, 12 prenovices and 6 missionaries ad gentes. During first seven years after the establishment of the Delegation under the leadership of its Delegate-Superiors is now moving towards quality and consolidation stage.
On May 17th the EAO Regional Councilor Fr. Klement visited Jakarta Delegation House. It was a good occasion for Fr. Lino Belo, his Delegation Council, Rectors, Priests in charge to gather in Jakarta - Wisma Don Bosco for one day of short animation. The Road Map of the Rector Major for the ITM Vice-province (2016-2022) was the main point of reference in this fraternal sharing.
Few months before the animation visit of the Rector Major (February 2018) the participants exchanged their concern about the progress along the Road Map for the Delegation: all 8 communities are being slowly becoming more consistent with more confreres, there is a steadfast growth of educational works (vocation training center, high school, technical school). Since last year is published an Indonesian monthly version of ANS FOTO (Warta Salesian Indonesia) and Don Bosco Past pupils are being organized. Every year one or two confreres are being qualified abroad (UPS - Rome or Manila) and the initial formation houses being consolidated.
In this way the dream of Vice-province is becoming every year more visible.
