By ADMA EAO Congress 2021 Steering Committee

EAO 3 August 2021 -- On the first day of August 2021 the ADMA EAO Congress Steering Committee composed of the two EAO ADMA 'stronghold' countries - Timor Leste and the Philippines (TLS, FIS and FIN provinces) met together to assess the preparatory process towards the Sept 11-12 Online Congress with the encouragement of EAO regional councillor Fr Joseph Phuoc. Here are the main points:

During first two weeks some 200 participants (ADMA members and other Salesian Family) registered for the Congress, both online or through their spiritual animators. Not only ADMA members and their spiritual animators (SDB - FMA) but also some DB Past pupils, ASC, VDB and CDB are 'on board'.

As with every ADMA Congress, 2021 EAO ADMA is also open to all Salesian Family members, and the registration online is open until August 15: https://forms.gle/oFQM2ZzhCCgyyXFi9. Devotion to Mary as Help of Christians is among the main common pillars of the whole Salesian Family (cf SF Identity Charter n.11 - With Mary in own house).

Thanks to the EAO ADMA Congress preparation, also few SDB-FMA from ADMA-less countries are inspired to launch this SF group in the following countries: Australia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Taiwan. We pray and try to assist this movement.

The logistic support for a large online event is impossible without the large support of IT technicians (SDB-GIA and DBPP: GEX-FIN and ADMA-FIS), internet provider to 3 main East Timor venues on Sept 11-12 (by DB past pupils), many involved in the 20 video recording and editing) and of course the priceless commitment of many translators (so far into 6 languages).

We pray, that this EAO 2nd ADMA Congress will inspire many consecrated and lay members of the Salesian Family and beyond the Salesian circles (e.g. one diocesan parish priest, in the Philippines, who is launching ADMA in this parish dedicated to Mary Help of Christians). Welcome: for the ongoing information there is a 'ADMA East Asia Oceania' Facebook page!
