K'Long, Vietnam, 24 April 2024 -- Vie SocCom Sector organized the Second Training Course For Cooperators from 20-21 April 2024 at K'Long Retreat Center, Duc Trong, Lam Dong, VietNam. Program content refers to the use of images and photography in media ministry.

Attending the course were 50 cooperators from different centeìres. There was the presence and companionship of Brother Martino Bui Van Luan Sdb, Provincial Delegate for the Salesian Family. Father Joseph Nguyen Tri Dung, Provincial Delegate for Social Communication, accompanied and guided the program.

On the first day, Father Joseph reviewed the knowledge they learned in course 1: How to write an article and how to use images appropriately for the article. Next, he went deeper into the composition in photography and the basic shooting angles necessary for photographers. After each topic, participants practiced the knowledge they had learned by taking and properly aligning a photo to ensure the correct image composition. Father Joseph also commented and gave suggestions through practical products.

On the second day, after attending the Mass and having breakfast, at 8:00 a.m., the participants departed for Da Lat together to practice group photography at 4 locations: Da Lat College, Train Station, Don Bosco Dalat Community, and Domain De Marie Church. The unique architecture gave participants many ideas for creating images and applying the basic knowledge they had learned in the past.

The program ended at 12:00; everyone had lunch together before returning home.

Although the lesson was brief, the cooperators felt happy to have practical experience with photography. Hopefully, with their knowledge, sacrifices, efforts, and enthusiasm, the cooperators will become preachers of God's Gospel to the world, especially to young people in today's digital age.
