Celebrating Blessed Michael Rua
ROME: 6th April 2010 -- Hope it does not escape people's attention, in this 'centenary year' of Blessed Michael Rua, that 6th April is in fact the centenary of his death. Now I know we are celebrating much more than a simple centenary of the man's passing from this life to eternal life, but 6th April has to be at least a good start!
We've put a little reminder of the fact on the Congregation's website, and either from there (clearly visible in the 'documents' box on the home page,or from SDL, you can get hold of the 'Life of...' by Fr Francis Desramaut, in one of three languages, currently - English, Italian or the original French. The English is a draft version being prepared for publishing, so take it as that, please. But at least you could begin the marathon on 6th April!
