Hua Hin, Thailand, 24 July 2023 -- On 21-23 July 2022, the Commission on Salesian Schools in Thailand, under the chairmanship of Fr Smith Daengampan, together with the heads of the various Salesian schools, organized the seminar for new teachers and personnel at the Salesian Retreat House in Huahin, Prachuabkhirikhan. 51 teachers joined this seminar under the theme "The Preventive System of Don Bosco”. Another 11 support teaching staff from various schools were also present to animate the activities.
The seminar began on the evening of 21 July 2023. Fr Boonlert Paneetatthayasai, the Provincial Superior, presided over the opening ceremony and gave a special conference to all the new teachers.
The main speaker of this seminar was Fr. Banchong Santisukniran, SDB. He leads the teachers to understand the history, the roots and the core of the educational method of Don Bosco, namely, reason, religion and loving kindness. By working together with the Salesians present in each institute, the teachers can help the young to be good citizens of the nation and honest followers of one's religion.
