Thu Duc, HCM City, Vietnam, 18 March 2024 -- According to the annual program, in order to improve knowledge, skills, and spirit during the Practical Training period from 12-14 March 2024, the Salesian Province of Vietnam organized a formation course for 22 Practical Trainees. This was also an opportunity for them to share their experiences of Salesian life in a practical period.
The course took place at the Provincial House of Don Bosco Vietnam, Thu Duc, HCM City. Accompanying them were Father Provincial - Barnabas Le An Phong, Father Joseph Do Duc Dung – Delegate for Formation, Father Nicolas Kieu Long Ho – Provincial Economer and the Salesians of the Provincial House Community.
The first topic was the “Preventive Education System and Working Together during the Practical Period,” presented by Brother Bui Van Luan. In the afternoon of the same day, Father Provincial Barnabas Le An Phong shared the session: “The unity between work and the spiritual life.”
Next came Father Nicolas Kieu Long Ho, Father Joseph Do Duc Dung, and Father Augustin Tran Do Phuc, who spoke about different areas. Each shared part will be a key, content and practical experience for the young confreres.
After sharing topics, the young confreres had time to reflect and share with each other practical experiences from the communities with joys, challenges, and difficulties that they have to face.
The formation course ended after lunch on 14 March. The confreres then returned to their daily work in communities with the joy of the Salesian family spirit.
