Salesian Cooperators in Don Bosco Da Lat
Da Lat, Viet Nam, 26 December 2017 -- Morning of December 22, the Salesian Cooperators together with young Salesians of Don Bosco Da Lat community organized Christmas’ celebration for 86 pupils of “Don Bosco special school,” these pupils, they are special because they are very poor both in financial and education.
The programe began at 8:00 am with different olympic games, and during of playing games, the cooperators prepared gifts for them.
At 10:00 am, Fr. Jos. Nguyen Chan Hung, SDB the Rector of Don Bosco Da Lat Community appeared with the costum of the Santa Claus. The pupils, teachers and cooperators joyfully welcome the Santa Claus to come to deliver the gifts.
Mr. Le Thanh Bao, the animator of this center of Mary Help of Christians introduced different guests, and he also gave Christmas wishing words to Fr. Rector, all Salesians, teachers, Cooperators, and pupils. After that, the representative of the pupils also delivered thanksgiving words to the teachers, cooperators, and all the Salesians for providing them place to study, to play, and to become better persons.
The representative of all the teachers also delivered speech of Christmas greetings to Fr. Rector, and all those present, and offered Christmas cake to the Salesian community.
Finally, Fr. Rector greeted all the teachers, cooperators, and all the pupils. The Rector thanked all the cooperators, and teachers for always ready to educate these peupils and he also encouraged the pupils to continue studying well in order to become useful people in the future.
And of course, they had lunch together in order to share the joy of Christmas, and then before going home each pupil received a Christmas gift with great joy of Christmas.
This was the third time, the Salesian cooperators of this Mary Help of Christians center organized this activity for the pupils in order to bring joy for them. Especially, this year the Salesian community of Da Lat entrusted this “special school” for the Salesian cooperators to take care of them in order to do concrete mission for the very poor and in need.
