Dili, Timor-Leste, 30 January 2022 -- The Regional Councilor for EAO region, Fr. Joseph Phuoc, SDB has just arrived in Dili, the capital city of Timor-Leste. This is the first official visit he has made since he took office as the Regional. Timor-Leste is one of the first provinces to be visited by the regional councilor, hence we are grateful for this visit full of blessings.

He will be staying 24 days in this tiny island bringing a cordial and fatherly message from the Rector Major to enhance the spirit of communion: “WE ARE ONE FAMILY!” TLS Vice-Provincial, Fr. Manuel Pinto, SDB representing the Provincial welcomes the Regional with some other provincial councillors. The communities of the Provincial House, The Post-Novitiate Community and the TVET-CENTER, together we greet the EAO Regional Councillor with some Timorese Traditional Dance and a welcome song.

In the month of Our Father and Founder, we are grateful with the presence of Fr Phuoc among us. He is currently staying in the Post-Novitiate community while waiting to join the celebration of the Solemnity of Our Father and Founder tomorrow, 31 January in Dili. After the celebration, Fr. Phuoc will be visiting all the Salesian Communities in the vice-province for the Consultation of the New Provincial for the next six year (2022-2028). Let us remember Fr Phuoc in our daily prayers, so that his visit may be fruitful and bring a meaningful result for TLS Vice-Province in the spirit of Saint John Bosco.
